I chose J. R. Martinez because of how inspiring he is to me. He is especially inspiring because of the way that he doesn’t let his injuries and scarring get in the way of how he lives life. J.R. Martinez is a motivational speaker, an actor, a wounded U.S. Army veteran, a best-selling author, and an advocate. His career pathway was and still is incredible. He used to be a high school football player from Georgia. His course in life is surprising to many and even he is surprised by it. J.R. Martinez was born as Jose Rene Martinez in June of 1983 in Shreveport, Louisiana. His mother was Maria Zavala and he had two sisters, Anabel ad Consuelo, who were raised by his mother’s family in El Salvador. Martinez never had the chance to meet Anabel
