Joyce L. Davis was born September 17th, 1954 in Jackson, Missy to Carl who owned his own janitorial business and Rose his bookkeeper. Her parents both lived in a huge house with not only herself but her eight siblings. Jerry, Roy, David, Rick, Phil, Donna, Mona, Judy. Although her parents had plenty of money, they all pitched in to pay for food, clothes, school supplies and anything in between.

When Joyce attended school she would make an appearance at St John’s Catholic School. Her mother and father were catholic and so was she. Joyce had owned a rosary. However her parents had been strict, they got grounded when they were trouble and growing up Joyce’s mother had always been more strict than her father. She says graduating was very exciting.

She still is. She was always supportive, kind and always told us to follow our dreams. We had rules, and grandma could be strict but she was that way so that Andrew and I would become adults who were responsible, hardworking and respectful. She always made dinner every night and we always ate together as a family. She worked very hard, but always put us kids first. I know that me having Grandma as my mother is what has helped me to become a great mom myself!” Joyce enjoyed watching her children grow into hardworking and respectful adults. Sophia Winchel states “She is an amazing grandma, I know we had some rough patches but she is one of the 3 grandmas i have left, I know she has difficulty with things but they say ”things that are bad always have a bright light to come“ Grandma is so kind and caring and not to mention an amazing cook. She had difficulty with her knee and still got up to get to the kitchen and make food, she put people before herself and does whatever she can to make you smile, this is why I love her.”
Maya Davis states “She’s grandma, she’s beautiful, funny, caring and is an amazing cook! Her food is so so good. I love her so much and I wouldn’t trade her for a different grandma ever!”
Hannah Davis states “Grandma is the best grandma who makes good food and is really friendly and cares about us”
