The doctor had said that her mother had died of cerebral aneurysm pg.19. Her mother went to Kweilin because her husband though it would be safe for them and their two babies. He was an officer with Kuomintang pg.21. When her mother thought of the joy luck club she already knew the lady 's she wanted in it. Each week one of them would host a party to raise money and their spirits pg.23. Each week they would pretend it 's a new year and forget past wrongs. Her mother always ended the stories on a happy note and the endings always changed pg.25. She wasn 't on time to the Hsus ' house, where the Joy Luck Club is meeting pg.27. Her mother seemed to always be displeased with all her friends and her father pg.30. Something was always missing, needed improvement, or was not balanced. She took a picture of Aiyi and her father when they saw each other pg.274. After fleeing Kweilin her mother walked for serveral days she had sewn money and jewelry into the lining of her dress to barter rides all the way to where she needs to go pg.281. By the third day she didn 't trade anything no cars would stop pg.281-282. After walking so much she left suitcases behind , wheat flour and rice. She asked little kids and even another person pass and asked if they would take her two children but neither did. She didn 't want them to die with her so she took a photo and wrote all the information to give them back to her, even saying there would be a reward for it. She left them with money and food all someone had to do was return them to her pg.282.So she left stumbling and crying and find some good and come back to them but she had fainted pg.283. When she went to go look for the place on the picture it was something else pg.284. Her mother wanted to go back to china to go and find them herself
