Every person on this Earth has potential to become someone of their wildest dreams, despite obstacles they might face. One of those journeys began on December 17th 1997, when a baby named Heather Rose Anderson was born. She grew up in Chesterfield with loving parents who were living the American dream. Her mother and father both had good, professional jobs, and solid moral values. Heather was social and curious about the world-catching bugs, drawing, and playing with friends. She had pretty much all a child could want and life couldn’t have been any better.

To her they weren’t just games, it was an escape route. But as she got older, her escape became her passion, and her interest grew about the artistry and career side of gaming. Meanwhile, real life wasn’t getting any better, so her gracious mother moved her back home, where she belonged. Beginning sophomore year, Heather was a completely new person after she realized, “Life isn’t about finding yourself life is about creating yourself.” –George Bernard Shaw. She quickly began to see the light, improving her grades, no longer feeling defeated by the unfairness of what had happened in her life. She was asked to join the NAHS (National Art Honors Society) for her outstanding work ethics and creativity level in class. As she grew more with academics Heather still aspired with her interests in art, never losing that part about her, because that was who she was. Quickly she began to find new interest in art, including things such as cosplay, FX makeup and fashion designing. During her junior year, she finally discovered her true passion lied with the industry, to become a Graphic Designer. From a very young age Heather knew VCU was the school of her dreams, a world where art was not only a passion, but a living breathing entity.
