Joshua Redman was born on February 1, in 1969 is one of the most famous saxophone players. He is the son of another famous saxophonist Dewey Redman. He was very talented as a child so he played multiple instruments in the saxophone family like the alto, soprano, and tenor saxophone. He is well known for his jazz music which began in the 1990’s. He began playing different types of music at a young age as well as a variety of instruments. He graduated from Harvard with a Bachelor's degree in Social Studies. After college some friends invited him to be their roommate in New York. There he became immersed in the New York Jazz Scene.
