John Joseph Travolta was born on February 18, 1954 in Englewood, New Jersey. Travolta was born as the youngest of six including three boys and three girls. John's’ dad (Salvatore Travolta) was a semi-professional football player and his mom (Helen Cecilia) is an actress that started in The Sunshine Sisters before she became a drama and english teacher. John’s brothers (Sam and Joey Travolta) have both acted, also his sisters (Ellen and Margaret Travolta) have also acted. John dropped out of Dwight Morrow High School, in New Jersey, his junior year to pursue his acting career.

John was very saddened at this time and as he was so sad he met a new girl 13 years later named Kelly Preston in 1991, she made him feel better. Kelly seems to be the one for John as he is still married today and HAD two children Jett and Ella Travolta in the present year of 2017. Tragedy struck the family when their son just died on January 2, 2009 while on a family vacation in the Bahamas.
