Evil, it surrounds the people of Earth where ever they may be. It opposes them, oppresses them, and mostly in the current time terrorizes them. Evil forces have always been on Earth and will never go away; no matter what form it may take. Physical forms of evil are the most widely recognized by the people. They can include world leaders, terrorist organizations, serial killers, psychopaths, et certa. World leaders are some that played a more pivotal role in shaping today’s world. One such leader is Joseph Stalin who was the dictator of Russia from the mid-1920 till his death in 1953. Stalin would ultimately use scare tactics to keep the people of Russia in line. It was so bad at one point that when he finished talking if you were among the …show more content…
He personally gave the order that caused the genocide known as The Holocaust. This event took the lives of nearly the entire Jewish population living in Europe at the time. The evil does not stop there; after the Nazis would kill the Jews they would put them in mass graves and sometimes even set them ablaze. The ones that were not killed had soon wished they were. The Jews kept alive were sent out to concentration camps all around Europe during WWI. At these camps the Jews would be beaten, worked to death, put in gas chambers, and even shot down by firing squads. Very few Jewish people actually made it out of these camps but are forever reminded of them by a number tattooed on their arm. Hitler is considered one of the most evil men to ever walk the face of the Earth. While Stalin and Hitler used physical force to get their point across, there are other ways to make a human listen and obey every command. The main source of this evil is… the government. Around the world government is seen as a form of protection, but what if all that is just a façade to what hides deeper within. Even though every government around the world has worked on some form of classified experiment, few have worked on ways to control the human mind. The American government is a great example of this all thanks to the experiment known as Project MkUltra. Project MkUltra took place from 1953-1973 it was conducted by the C.I.A. to figure out ways of possible mind control by manipulating what the mind is exposed to. One major event that took place in the life of a subject of this project was when they were introduced to drugs-Cocaine, Cannabis, PCP, Ecstasy, and LSD-to test the effects on the human psyche. They would also use physical torture; isolation in rooms with no sound, no light, and the only thing you would hear or see would be your brain trying to fill in things that are not really there. The government also used its own Americans for the project; most did not survive the tests due to the severity. While mental evil is one of the fastest ways to make a human break; there are still other forces that exist, but not on the same plane as this

There are many different ways to be evil. You can be evil by having a couple of thoughtless followers next to you and using comments to get things done your way like Regina George in the film “Mean Girls” by Tina Fey. Another way would be holding a huge knife and having a bunch of little boys at your side, as Jack in the novel “ The Lord of the Flies” by William Golding. Mean Girls is humorous with fights between high school girls. Lord of the Flies is serious with violence that go from hand fights to murders from boys that are alone on an uninhabited island.…

Joseph Stalin and Adolf Hitler were unarguably the two most powerful leaders to ever rule Russia and Germany. The pair spread terror across the Europe as they took power and aimed to consolidate it. Stalin was born in Georgia, which was then part of the Russian empire, and was the son of a cobbler. During his time as a student he began reading Marxist literature and it inspired him to devote his time to the revolutionary movement against the Russian monarchy. He would often get arrested and exiled to Siberia during his time as an activist, however when the Bolsheviks seized power in 1917 he rose through the ranks of the party.…

Savagery is considered animalistic, but in modern society, we mask it with nice clothes and successful careers: which reflect on the deep rooted evil that humans carry. Golding’s novel, Lord of the Flies, CBS’ show, Kid Nation, and Zimbardo’s psychology experiment gone wrong, all shine light on the evil in human nature. For example, Golding’s Lord of the Flies, shows the inner evil within the boys after they are stranded to fend for themselves . Additionally, CBS’, Kid Nation, put real kids on an island to see what would really happen when kids had to compete and survive on their own. Finally, in Zimbardo’s prison experiment, the participants took on the role of either the guard or the prisoner, and the results showed how big of an impact a role had on the volunteers.…

The definition of evil is the “exercise of power” (“The Psychology of Evil”), according to psychologist Philip Zimbardo. In consonance with this definition, people execute an evil act “to intentionally harm people psychologically, to hurt people physically, to destroy people mortally, or ideas, and to commit crimes against humanity” (Zimbardo, “The Psychology of Evil”). Based on this, evil is committed with the intention to inflict harm on people and the environment. The incentive to perform evil acts, moreover, derives from the internal sentiments of an individual, the external environment encasing the individual, and the way that individual exerts these characteristics on others and on his or her surroundings. To begin with, people are inclined…

Anywhere you look, you are looking at evil. You might not think so, many people may seem wholly good, but everyone has evil in them. You might not see it right now, but trust me, it’s there, lurking in the shadows. This is, at least, what Bram Stoker, the writer of Dracula, and Robert Louis Stevenson, the writer of The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, want you to believe through their characters of Dracula and Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde, respectively. These characters use their supernatural abilities to disrupt peace and cause hardship throughout their eponymous works.…

In my opinion, evil exists. Without evil, how would we know what good is? Killing someone may be classified as evil, holding a door open for someone may be considered good, while not greeting someone you know may fall in between. This is sometimes confusing, depending on a situation, to decide if something is classified as “evil”. There are different definitions of evil, depending on law, dictionaries, philosophy, and religion.…
