Once you follow your bliss, life will be filled with more happiness and less doubt. Studies show that when people put their dreams into action, everything starts to fall into place, opening doors to better opportunities and a more enjoyable life. To follow your bliss, you need to find what you love to do, your ‘calling’. This being accomplished, the journey to your future starts to make more sense. To be able to achieve one’s bliss, they must follow the steps acquired by Joseph Campbell in his monomyth. The monomyth is perfected by three steps which include: separation and departure, challenges and trials, and return and reintegration. My personal bliss would be to find genuine happiness in life. This step has been referred to as the main stage of one’s journey to bliss. The hero is known to convert into his true heroic state through a series of trials. While on my journey, I will have to go through trials as well. The world will seem so ironic and sarcastic towards my life during this stage. It is the ultimate test, can I succeed or will I break? Here, I will be tricked. People or things I eliminated from my life can potentially cross my path again. This is where I have to stay strong even if I feel like quitting. I have to motivate myself with what the ending goal is at the end and the benefits that come along with it. I know this will not come easy, nothing does, otherwise the would would be a little less imperfect. By the end of this stage, I will have rightfully earned my boon, that is, when a goal is achieved. I will realistically reach my boon when I can finally say there is nothing holding me back in life. When I feel at ease, always, and when a smile comes easily to my face. I will be able to see the good in everything, the glass half full rather than half
