Whether there was famine or nothing to eat at all, both Joseph and Jesus fed thousands of people by a miracle or just planning ahead. While Joseph was in Egypt, God was with him. He gained great power after interpreting Pharaoh’s dreams and when there was famine, “the people cried to Pharaoh for bread. Pharaoh said to all the Egyptians, “Go to Joseph. What he says to you, do.” So when the famine had spread over all the land, Joseph opened all the storehouses and sold to the Egyptians, for the famine was severe in the land of Egypt”(ESV-Genesis 41:55-56). The interpretation made by Joseph was that there would be seven plentiful years and seven years of famine. So while there was still time to take action, Joseph began storing grain in all of
