There Be Dragons
God calls each and everyone of his children to love and care for each other along with following the path he sets out for you. This path is different for each individual as we are unique and special in your personality and traits. In There Be Dragons, two man follow each other as God's call into the seminar as Josemaria continues and Manolo becomes an activist in the spanish revolution. Each man experiences there call through war, good, evil, and expression. They fought for their right to live and freedom with a cost of death.
As Manolo dropped out of this seminar and followed his call, he became an activist in the Spanish Revolution. He joined the right wing forces who were planning to overthrow the new left wing government …show more content…
Josemaria knows that God can act in evil ways as he allowed the sparks of the revolution. Yet he protected Josemaria and his followers in the multiple challenges they faces as they adventured towards a new world. Josemaria faced evil later in his life while Manolo faced in living as a young boy. Soon after Manolo’s mother lost a child, he asked if “she hated God now” (“There Be Dragons”). In tears his mother replied, “No, I love him more than ever” (“There Be Dragons”). Manolo took this event as a life lesson, a lesson that God did not care for his family, that he needed to look a different direction. Away for God and towards war. Later in life, Manolo raises Robert as a cold and harsh father. God calls us to live for him through our guilt. Manolo was always cold and distant to Robert because he felt guilty for allowing the death of both his parents. Manolo later faces the truth when confronting Robert about his real parents, later asking for the forgiveness for his wrong doing. Manolo needed forgiveness while Josemaria gave it. Josemaria forgave other who treated him with disrespect. Just as he did to Manolo and his father when he was no longer allowed to associate with him due to his father's loss of job. Through all Josemaria’s life struggles, he stayed humble and confident while Manolo was always
