Jose Cuervo Advertisement Analysis

The atmosphere and theme of the Jose Cuervo advertisement is obviously flowing towards sexual ecstasy and lustful adventure. The advertisement does this by taking a black and white photograph shot of two good looking people, a man and a woman in a very sexual position and then at the bottom there is a beautifully colored bottle of Jose Cuervo in an ocean of tequila. The couple is wearing beach clothes that are soaked, like they have been drenched in the ocean of tequila. They both have expressions of enjoyment on their faces after immersing themselves in the pleasurable ocean of Jose Cuervo’s tequila. In black lettering across the middle it says “Pursue your daydreams.” A slogan of “Vive Cuervo” which means live Cuervo is written next to the

This is a primary example of sex in today’s advertisement. Unlike other subtle advertising that require the works of our imagination, this advertising jumps straight to the point. These ads purposely get you to think of two things: sex and their products. Our brains have been hard-wired for billions of years to transform everything into sex. The marketers use this fact to target their customers.…

Juan Valdez is Latin America’s Aunt Jemima, but questions authenticity remain when discussing Juan Valdez. Juan Valdez is a western representation of the Cafertero. In 2006, the man who had portrayed Juan Valdez for 37 years, Carlos Sanchez, handed over the Conchita’s reins to a new Juan. Sanchez had appeared in nearly 100 commercials and even made a cameo in the Jim Carrey movie Bruce Almighty, delivering the perfect cup of coffee to the God-like Bruce.…

Ad Analysis Essay As we know advertising has been used by many companies, campaigns in the marketing industries for many years. It is a form of propaganda which tries to grab the viewer's attention in order to persuade the viewer to buy the product or be part of a service. The advertisement invokes curiosity and uses sexual innuendos to tempt the viewer into buying the Altoid mints. The words written across the ad,”First time?”, implies two things; firstly that the two people in the ad are both trying Altoids for the first time and a hidden secondary element implying that the couple are attempting their first act of sexual intercourse. The text itself is a deep shade of red, and stands out strongly against the dimmer background of the advertisement, drawing our attention to it. The text also has a white underline to it so as to be calming and more aesthetically pleasing. The color also acts as a counterbalance to the intense red color and depicts the vibrant and pure color of the mints.…

Psychology is used in everyday life and can be seen especially in advertising. Many advertisers use hidden symbols to manipulate consumers into buying or watching products they neither want nor need. According to Charles I. Brooks, author of How Psychology Applies to Everyday Life, “advertising executives try to convey a product message to viewers.” Shark week advertisement in PEOPLE Magazine is a great example of how this magazine uses psychology to capture the audience 's attention. Let’s take a look at how this magazine is effective by analyzing the image and text, the context of the advertisement, and the metaphoric context behind the title.…

The book states, “By far the greatest effort in advertising is to convince potential buyers that the alcohol purchased will contribute to how others see the self, and how the individual perceives himself or herself” (106). This statement is important because it magnifies how advertisements use ethos and pathos for their success in their company. I believe that advertisements do that in order to enhance their profit which is why they target on the most sensitive parts in life. In this case, it would be living the dream. When I’m watching television and see commercials for alcoholic beverages the visuals I observe are the people are good looking, the environment is lively, and the guy gets the girl in some sort of way.…

Advertisement Analysis: Avos in Space (Avocados From Mexico) For this linguistics analysis, I have chosen an ad from 2016 for Avocados From Mexico titled “Avos in Space.” The premise of the ad is that aliens have taken some of Earth’s most notable objects, and used them in a museum of sorts. Most of these things are misidentified or have undue value placed on them. Finally, at the end of the tour, the aliens participating in the tour reach an avocado tree, a bowl of guacamole, and a bag of tortilla chips, with the tour guide alien proclaiming that the avocados are the “most amazing of all.”…

The commercial depicted young at heart senior citizens having the time of their lives, sneaking out of an retirement home, and being mischievous as teenagers. They end their night (morning) at Taco Bell eating tacos and looking partied out. The hilarious commercial was directed by Noam Murro, who directed movies and previous year's Super bowl commercials. This commercial was so persuasive because the director definitely got Taco Bell's agenda and "Live Mas" theme across to the Super Bowl audience with his unconventional cast of "old folks. Coca-Cola has produced thousands of advertisements since the company’s creation with the goal of appealing to a broad range of consumers. Stylistically, Coca-Cola advertisements have changed over time, but their goal remains the same. This paper will use two Coca-Cola advertisements, one released in the United States in 1886 and the other in The Netherlands in May 2015, to discuss the delicate balance between using generalized advertisements compared to a more personalized style.
