Jordan Holley Trowbridge has made a big impact on my life. She is kind, loving, patient, generous, supportive, achiever, humorous, amazing friend, phenomenal braider, and outdoorsman. She always is willing to stick up for someone else, even if she has never met them, she never has put her own needs in front of those around her and will always go the extra mile for someone else.
I met her a few years ago at a church service project at a local elementary school soccer day camp. Jordan and I were sent about a half hour before it was time to eat, to get the kids the lunch we had made for them, plus ten full drink coolers, plates napkins, and cups. In all, it took us about five trips to get it all out to the soccer field where we were eating.
The next week we had summer camp. When we could, we would hang out (mainly because we were two years apart) which was mostly during swim hour, free time, and during meals.

After that, we went to her house and we had a girls night. After we ate dinner I had accidentally cut myself on a piece of broken glass. It wasn't a large cut but she got some essential oils to stop the bleeding and got a band-aid for me to put on it.
In June of 2017, she had fallen out of a tree and landed on her back she had only had a couple of compression fractures, but she wasn't able to go to New Mexico because of her physical therapy. Even in her circumstances she still helped out around the church preparing for the middle school camp. Her work ethic had not changed at all.

Jordan has been an amazing friend and huge inspiration to me. She has taught me even though you may be challenged, you should always persevere and keep a strong work ethic. Anyone who crosses paths with this amazing young woman is truly

For example, my best friend happens to have type 1 diabetes and we are trying to raise awareness of this disease, as well as, support newly diagnosed diabetic children.…

This girl stopped, looked at what I was reading, and said, "Hey I just finished reading that book it's really good!" I have had a lifelong passion for environmental issues that arose from a childhood spent amongst mountains, canyons, islands, and rivers. The Anacostia River near my home is dubbed “The Forgotten River,” for it has been transformed by neglect. It was integral to my childhood—my family canoed on the river, my crew team practiced on it, and my Eagle Scout project involved rehabilitating one of its wetlands. The river showed me that environmental issues are complex, involving science, social justice, politics, economics, and history. From a young age, I was stunned by my city’s apathy and saw a change that needed to occur.…

I actually did plenty of .research on nursing and I think Hinds is just the place for me .…

Undeniably, “Schoolsville” by Billy Collins is written to show the connection between school and life. In fact, the poem is about a man who has taught a numerous amount of students and he discusses how in reality there is not much of a difference between them in school and how they would be in life afterwards. The first stanza reads, “Glancing over my shoulder at the past, I realize the number of students I have taught is enough to populate a small town.” This stanza is telling us that this narrator is a teacher, and he is reflecting into the past about his students, and how he has had enough to fill up a “small town.” The next stanza is comparing the classroom to the new town.…
