Jordan Belfort started as a normal man with a normal wife looking for a normal job at Wall Street. He was calm, quiet, polite and faithful to his wife. This is his first idea as a stockbroker: "If you make your clients money at the same time, it's advantageous to everyone". His thought is beautiful and wise. However, as he became rich, his philosophy changes. This is what he said to his employees: "I want you to go out there and I want you to ram Steve Madden stocks down your clients' throats until they fucking choke on it!" He was completely opposite of himself. He became noisy, very impolite, and did not care about anyone else except himself. He fell into the dark in every possible mean. He lately confessed "On a daily basis, I consume enough drugs to sedate Manhattan, Long Island and Queens for a month", "I also gamble like a degenerate. I drink like a fish. I fuck hookers maybe five, six times a week". However, he did not see himself as a terrible man; he saw himself as a successful person. He believed he was a better person because of money. The story shows the power of money can blind a person's mind and turn him into its slave. That is the immortal message of this movie. We always want to be better, be richer, but if we want too much, we may lose ourselves in the process. Fifty years from now, there will be new technology, new ideology, and new authority. However, human psychology is not changed. People will pursue materialistic values to become richer and more respected in the society. However, they should be aware of the danger of their greediness or they will fall into the place of Jordan
