Jordan Belfort's leadership

“Playing it safe and taking no risks is a shortcut to poverty.”- Jordan Belfort or as many people know by the name “the wolf of wall street” is an author, motivational speaker, former stockbroker, and at a point he was a millionaire, but most importantly he was a leader. Even since he was a kid he showed his persuasive leadership skills by making 20,000 dollars just from selling Italian ice on the beach out of Styrofoam cups. He later started taking up on being a meat salesman. Going door to door, but it later was very successful and the business grew greatly. He employed several people and ended up selling over 5,000 pounds of meat and fish a week which was the start of his discovery that he was a great leader

Although it was not legal, it takes true leader to be able to lead several of his employees, close family members and friends into a completely illegal act and make millions while doing it. A true leader has a vision set, can be trusted\looked up to, and be effective along with get work done. Jordan Belfort has all of these characteristics and his business success shows it. His visions were simple, get lots of money and do whatever it took to do so and his vision was in reach. Jordan Belfort was trusted very much by all of his followers and close friends and the whole business was in his hands it was his job to keep the fire of the business going. He was looked up to by the poor because of his large consumption of money and trusted by his coworkers because he had taken them very far and gave them part of his success. It is no surprise that he was looking up to by many bystanders and his peers. His sharp luxury cars and clothes stood out and gave interest to many people. They looked up to him because he had something that many people did not. That urged other people to look up to him and follow him hoping that one day, they will be like him. Trust is important, anybody can be great and a leader but to be trusted is a whole new ballpark. Other people had to rely their lives on him because they were taking such a big risk with the illegal scam. They were very aware of what they were doing and the consequences if they had got caught (which they did). That is beside the point though; they had put all the trust into his hands because they thought of him as such a great
