One night a father walked down to his basement finding his seven year old daughter dead. On December 26, 1996 in Boulder, California, Patsy got up from her sleep to get a glass of milk, on her way down she found a ransom note indicating that someone had their daughter, Jonbenet Ramsey and to get her back safely they would have to pay a fee of 118,000. Patsy ran upstairs and woke up her husband John and they called the police immediately because, they thought Jonbenet had been kidnapped from the Ramsey residence. Police came soon after the call and searched around the house for any clues or evidence to where she went and who took her. They weren’t necessary looking for jonbenet because the note made it seem like she was abducted from the house, but John, her father went down to the basement finding jonbenet tied up, dead. To this day, people do not know who murdered Jonbenet. People are led to believe the Ramsey family murdered their own daughter, but other close people …show more content…
The two girls spent an awful lot of time together because jonbenet was a pageant queen and Patsy was most definitely a stage mom. She pushed Jonbenet so hard because winning was the only thing that mattered which jonbenet was lucky for because all she ever did was win. In the article, “Jonbenet’s mother was the killer, detective says,” it is mentioned that the ransom note that Patsy had found was written in her handwriting and in her office space. Also when John found jonbenet she was tied up and it showed that the rope was tightened with Patsy’s paintbrushes. During an autopsy, there was undigested pineapple slices in jonbenet’s stomach and in the kitchen was a bowl of uneaten pineapple slices, with Patsy’s DNA on the spoon inside the bowl. With all this information it is led to believe Patsy killed her daughter, but there is still no actual proof that she committed the murder, so she can not face any
