A 6 year old tragedy

Christmas day 1996, an american beauty pageant queen was murdered in her family home in Boulder Colorado. There are no traces of evidence of who killed her only a family mourning the loss of their youngest. The night of her murder it is noted that only the immediate family of Jonbenet was in the house at the time of the murder, John (her father), Patsy (her mother), and Burke (9 year old brother). Later that night Patsy discovers JonBenet not in her bed and starts to search the house looking for her daughter. She comes downstairs and finds a ransom note that called for $118,000 which would guarantee JonBenet’s safe return. Police arrive shortly after at around 5:52 am and begin searching the house. They search all night and at 1pm it is the father who finds her body in a side room in the basement (Lawrence Schiller). This is because in the recent past there has been DNA tests on JonBenet’s body confirming that the DNA found on her could not have came from someone in her family (Kirk Johnson). Also by recreating the Ramsey family home with modern technology has proved that it could not have been Burke who committed the murder (Bill Keveney). To address the family friend committing the murder, if McReynolds had committed the murder DNA evidence would have matched on the ransom note as well as on the stockings. The DNA found on the stocking and underwear points to a suspect that could not match up with McReynolds as well. The theory of a random intruder cannot be debunked because there is no evidence proving it was not a random person not affiliated with the family making it the most plausible
