Illustration from the 7 Jewish Feasts

Jesus is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and Ending, the First and the Last. God knows the end from the beginning, He alone traverses time (both past and future) into eternity. God cannot be boxed into time (like humans), He is greater than time – He has no beginning of days or the end of life, He is from everlasting to everlasting. He alone knows the exact day when the kingdoms of this world would end and a new heaven and earth will take their place.
About four thousand years ago, God instituted seven feasts or festivals for the Jewish nation. These feasts were dress rehearsals that taught, both historically and prophetically, the whole plan of God concerning the coming of the Messiah and the redemption of man.
The LORD said to Moses, “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘These are my appointed feasts, the appointed feasts of the LORD, which you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies” Lev 23:1-2 NIV

The Passover feast, being a shadow of things to come, has been fulfilled in Christ. God gave his one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to be our pure and spotless Lamb Sacrifice; he became our Passover Sacrifice. Because of His sacrifice, God is able to ‘pass over’ our sins in forgiveness and deliver us from bondage under Satan.
“Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover was sacrificed for us.” 1 Cor 5:7 NKJV
“For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, [19] but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect” 1Pt 1:18-19 NIV
Jesus was crucified on the day of preparation for the Passover (Good Friday), at the same time that the lambs were being slaughtered for the Passover meal that

Jesus is visited by people referred to as wise men, kings, or the magi. The gifts which the magi bring to Jesus are consistently described as gold, frankincense and myrrh. These three gifts were standard gifts to honor a king or deity in the ancient world: gold as a precious metal, frankincense as perfume or incense, and myrrh as anointing oil. While these gifts had a very practical purpose, there is also a great deal of spiritual symbolism in the gifts offered in terms of Jesus as Priest, Prophet and King. Jesus gave us all a better gift: The gift of a clean slate and forgiveness from our sins; all you have to do is take the gift.…

Families will go from door to door sporting costumes while delivering candy and other foods, and sit down to a lavish meal with friends and relatives later in the day to celebrate the holiday. But far beyond the food and costumes, Purim has a much deeper purpose to it, a lesson applicable to each and every one of our lives. Purim, one of the most joyous days of the Jewish calendar, is a fun and enjoyable holiday for celebrants all ages. The holiday commemorates the salvation of the Jewish people in the ancient Persian Empire from a royal decree issued in a plot by Haman, one of the king’s ministers, to annihilate the entire Jewish nation.…

The passages concerning new life of one’s preface were Romans 6:19-23 and Colossians 3:1-14, because the passages describes the then and now in one’s life. Paul writes addressing the Romans Christians saying, “I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness, resulting in further lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness, resulting in sanctification. For when you were slaves, you were free in regard to righteousness. Therefore what benefit were you then deriving from the things of which you are now ashamed?…

The passage of my choice to interpret within the light of different gospels is about the crucifixion of Jesus on the death cross and how he was treated during that time, he was mocked and scolded and even high priests were making fun out of him but he remained determined on his preaching’s and after he breathed his last the sacred veil was torn. To clarify the background in different gospels the crux of the story is that the Jewish priests and elders of the Sanhedrin accused Jesus of blasphemy, arriving on the decision to put him to demise. But first they needed Rome to approve of their loss of life sentence, so Jesus as according to the history was to be taken to Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor in Judea. Even though Pilate sited him innocent,…

John 6:1-14 serves as a “reminiscent of the miraculous feeding through Moses” during the wandering in the wilderness “following their exodus from Egypt and preceding their entrance into the promised land” (Exodus 16:4-36), events commemorated by the Passover feast (Heil, 53). In John 6:1-14, Jesus feeds a crowd of about five thousand (6:10) with the overabundance of bread and fish (6:5-13) when the Passover, the feast of the Jews, was near (6:4). All the events of John 6 are placed in a Passover context (6:4). The fact that a large crowd of people was following Jesus and seeing the signs He was performing on the sick (6:2) tells readers of the further signs: the theme of believing in Jesus as the sacrificial Passover lamb of God central to…

Therefore, for people who know the prophecies, know that he is the Son of God. An iconic image that is very well known is “The last supper” an image of Jesus and his disciples having their last supper before Jesus was crucified on the cross. Many people in the christian faith, love the painting of that last supper because it was a touching moment and it shows how humble Jesus was when He knew He was going to be betrayed by one of his disciples, therefore, leading to crucifixion. The last supper had more of a significance to it, it was also known as the passover meal, Jesus’ command to remember what He was about to do on behalf of all mankind: shed His blood on the cross thereby paying the debt of our sins (Luke 22:19). Therefore using the passover to have a new covenant, there was two symbols associated with the passover and to remind them about the sacrifice.…
