Becker’s importance within the context of the art world goes without question. He along with a few others are the prototypes for the format that Vanity Fair. ("Jonathan Becker") In other words there photos set the foundation for how photography should be viewed in one the biggest supported and respected magazines in the world. He has not only done this but has also been setting this basis for 30 consecutive years. (SCAD) These images also helped influence that of modern photography and worked it into a staple in the Fine Arts. Subsequently, as a person Becker’s seems to be very modest, funny, and often very candid. His demeanor works to help his work because he is relatable because of the various stories that he can tell full of intrigue and excitement.
