He was born October 28,1914 and after many years for what he did died June 23, 1995.He was famous for making a Polio Vaccine that cured many people.
This man could have credit for having one of america's greatest accomplishments. That accomplishment is that he made the polio vaccine for the U.S which he made in and started to go down in 1955 by 1965 the numbers only had dropped down too only 61 people in the U.S. He also made the oral vaccine which he did 1961 by then the number of people with polio dropped by a lot. If it was not for him making a difference for making the vaccine for polio we would probably would still have if it were not for him. Polio changed the body crippling and become a deadly infectious disease. The virus spread from person to person and could affect a person’s brain of spine. Since my person made the polio vaccine in 1961 which a year before that in 1960 there were alot of people that had polio, and when he made it he the numbers started to drop dramatically and by 1965 the vaccine and brought the number down to only 61 people which in my vision that pretty cool.
