Jonah's Case Study

Jonah has maintained phone contacts with his mother and sister since placement. However, it was reported in the month of November that he did not speak to his mother for a few weeks after he overheard from his DSS worker that his mother failed a drug screen. Jonah’s mother was not aware that he knew she had failed a drug screen and had not tried to make any contact with him either. He is very close with his biological sister and for the months of October and November Jonah kept weekly phone contacts with her. In the month of December Jonah’s sister got a new phone number and he did not speak with her for a few weeks because he did not have her new phone number.
