Identity Verification
Obtain information BEFORE opening an account. Verify the potential member’s government issued I.D. is valid and not expired! Government-issued identifications can include a driver’s license, identification card, passport, or military ID. Employee badges, credit cards, check cards and expired IDs are NOT acceptable as a form of identification when opening a new membership.
Joint Owners

One does not have to open his or her own membership to be joint owner on a Savings account, but he or she must be eligible for membership. To become a joint owner on any other account (other than Prime Share Savings), the joint owner must be a member of the credit union.
If a current member wants to add a joint owner who is a friend, aunt, or someone else who is not eligible for membership, we will not be able to add that member to their account. This is restricted because the friend or aunt will never be able to add services or open their own membership, so they should not be joint owner on an account.
Reviewing the Membership Application
When reviewing the Membership Account Card, note the results of any substantive discrepancy discovered when verifying identity, such as address on the Account Card that differs from that on their photo ID.
Discuss discrepancies with your manager and note the information on the membership application.
Gather a physical address. A Post Office Box may be used as the mailing address, but a current physical street address needs to be entered on the membership application.
For
