Joining Upward Bound has helped me prepare for college and discover my career interest in many ways. The classes that were offered helped me stumble upon many characteristic traits of mine, such as being creative and becoming more open minded about school. Staying in the dorms allowed for me to be more independent and manage my time wisely when prioritizing, this is especially important when becoming a college student. Lastly, being able to speak in front of a huge audience at the annual Banquet, helped me realize that the program truly influenced me to continue pursuing my goal of becoming a college student.
