A few times he had to prompt for feeding into a peer’s negative behavior by laughing and encouraging his peer to act out in negative behavior. He was able to be redirected and even engaged in the conversation by discussing certain situations with impulsivity where he couldn’t control his impulse control.
La’Sedrick was able to discuss his experience with impulsivity and how it affected his behavior in the past. He was also able to recall the thoughts he has when he has negative impulses. La’Sedrick was able to finish group on a positive note and sharing past situations pertaining to impulse control
Michael was very active all throughout the group and carried a significant amount of the conversation by himself. All though he had a tendency to infrequently to get off the immediate topic and ramble into an unrelated subject, he was able to be redirected and discuss candidly his experiences with impulsivity and was very vocal about the physical strategies he uses to stop himself from engaging in negatively impulsive behaviors such as squeezing his eyes closed and clenching his fists while engaging in deep breathing so as to give himself a cue to stop and
