So when this book starts out it starts following the revolutionary war. In April 1773, in Colonial Boston Massachusetts. It starts in the beginning as Johnny and the others getting ready to be woken up, to get to work. Johnny is a silversmith apprentice, we don’t really have those anymore so I would have to say that, being an silversmith apprentice is pretty way-back-when. And so, I would also say the jobs are pretty old timey too. we don’t really have silversmiths and blacksmiths anymore. So it does contribute to the history of this book because it;s gone, out of style, we don’t use them anymore.
