Finally finding an escape from his distraught childhood, Cash threw himself out into the social life, confident to find peace once again. After roller skating one afternoon July of 1951, Johnny Cash has no idea that he would propose to his date, three short years later. During the time Cash was overseas serving in the Air Force, they compiled multiple love notes, once returned, he established his singing career although his newborn remained at home, finally, exposing his rocky relationship with his first wife, soon chasing June Carter.
