John Winston Lennon was born october 9, 1940, in Liverpool, England. He is the son of Alfred and Julia Lennon. He was born when the german bombs were falling during the battle of Britain. His father abandoned the family when he was just a baby, and his mother never had the courage to fight the adversity raise a child alone, so she left her son to be raised by her aunt, Mimi Smith. He grew up and lived an ominous drug filled life, but is still one of the most talented and unsurpassed musicians in the world.
