When Daniel Plainview was trying to strike a deal in the Sunday’s home, he would touch the fathers arm when he was trying to come off as sincere. When Day-Lewis wanted to show that the character was getting frustrated he spoke faster, but kept a facial expression that didn’t match his tone. Another thing I really enjoyed about this performance was how well Plainview’s aggression come off, it was clear and believable.
