How would you feel if you had a friend and you are taking care of them and you’re not able to have all the fun in life because of them? There is a story of a boy that I previously went to school with that was bullied because he didn’t wear the newest clothing and he smelled a certain way. There was nothing he could do to change it because it was just him. He had the nicest personality but no one looked at that side of him just because of the way he appeared. He dealt with external conflicts which was Person vs. Society. I believe that society deals with peer pressure with everyone around. We can infer from context clue that some people can’t escape their inner self even if people don’t like it.

The reason why Lennie did that was because George told him to fight back and he was doing it for self defense.
