Hello Dr. Bodam and Classmates:
"If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader." past United States of America President John Quincy Adams. A few of my primary strengths as a leader is the ability to understand inspire and motivate people to new heights. Over the years I have showcased levels of high emotional intelligence which mixed with my experience has resulted in my successes only after much failure. I have always been the person who likes to work with the people that typically no one likes to work with – the underachievers or at-risk group. I believe this is from my background in social services it was my responsibility to build relationships (maintain them), build people, motivate

4. Social Skill – I am great at building rapport and relationships with others. When mixed with empathy I understand how to communicate with others and know how to motivate them.

I stayed on Sr. Managers to provide us with things that we needed in order to reach new levels of production. There was much success with

When I completed my DiSC assessment it showcased not only my strengths but most importantly my weaknesses. It showcased that I sometimes set unrealistic goals, push people at a pace that doesn’t allow them time to develop necessary skills, and am impulsive. Although I disagree with some of them, I am also aware that they are things that I need to improve in. Also, I sometimes lack self-regulation which is all tied together with the results from my DiSC assessment.

After much self-reflection, reading this weeks required readings, week 3 lectures, and a serious conversation with my manager and mentors, we identified areas of weakness and ways to improve in them. I got this idea after reading HBR signs that you lack emotional intelligence by Muriel Wilkins she suggested that you do four strategies to help you improve which are 1. Get feedback, 2. Beware of the gap between intent and impact, 3. Press the pause button, and 4. Wear both shoes. So here are some of my

My group gave up, my members stood there beating themselves up for forgetting the task, not thinking about how they can make the situation better.…
