A crucible is a severe test.. It could also mean a place or situation in which different components interact to form something new . It's also container that holds hot metal.In the crucible written by Arthur Miller each character is faced with test. The test that each of them have is honesty and how they are. A crucible in the play could best be describes when the characters have choices that the have to choose. For example the characters morals are being tested when they are questioned to denounce someone that has done witch craft or involved in it in any way.
