John Proctor's Letter To The Crucible '

Improved Essays
I was in deep trouble. I was so envious and inconsiderate of your feelings for Elizabeth, that I led the Salem girls into the woods, and attempted to conjure dark spirits. I danced while I ordered Tituba to sing songs of witchery and sin. I am the one who initiated the conjuring, and I am the one who will burn in the depths of hell. This situation, in it’s entirety, is my doing and my sin. My name will forever be blackened, and I will never know the gracious and loving ways of heaven.

Our life in the new land, could be wonderful together. If you had come with me, we could have a family and well-paying jobs. We could be happy, and healthy, and free from all damnation and sin. We could be exactly like my fantasy. You and I could live happily
