John Proctor Tragic Hero Essay

A tragic hero is a character who makes a judgment error that inevitably leads to there own destruction. I believe that john proctor is the tragic hero. He made a bad mistake on who talking about people and not helping out to the best of his abilities. Some people got hanged due to him being I do think that he has a lot of inner spirit in him and he is desirable. He cares about people, and wants the best of people.
Jon proctor is one of the main character in this book that played some big roles in here. When
Jon first shows in the book he seemed pretty normal, come to find out that he is hiding a very bad secret that leads him later on in the book to feel bad. We found out that he is having an affair with abigail while he is married to elizabeth.

Elizabeth was put on trial for the same reason. Jon started to love her more and felt even worse about what he was doing. After a while of the trials going on more people got hanged, after people dieing jon confessed to eli that he had an affair on her with abigail and he was really sorry and asked for forgiveness. The life of some of the people that went into this trial were living just normal lives and didn’t see any of this coming. The town and the main characters are in the town are all hollie they all go to church, it is a church town.
After some more of the people in the trial die, Jon comes into the court to try and talk to them that this is ridiculous. Jon’s opinion of the trial changed from wanting the trial to happen to not wanting it happen in short term of saying it. Some of the people that got hanged jon knew pretty well and they're gone. Jon did save elizabeth from dieing, she helped herself as well but they said that she was pregnant so she could have at least one more year to live. During the one more year that she will have before she gets hanged, her and jon are going to try and find her innocents. Jon later on gets hanged for trying to over through the court. While betty
