John Proctor Character Analysis

John Proctor is a farmer and a respected man in the community, who at the same time does not allow himself to be dominated by this repressive system. Proctor defends with courage his position and conceptions. However, he has a black spot on his past: an infidelity with Abigail Williams, while she worked for Proctor’s family. Elizabeth is his wife and mother of their two sons. As soon as Elizabeth realized about that situation between Abigail and his husband, she decided to expel her, but the Proctor’s marital relationship deteriorates. One can perceive a tension between of John Proctor and Elizabeth due to their limited talks.
At first glance, the reader can observed that John retains some weakness for Abigail, but his ethical principles do
