Manifest Destiny is a term created by a Newspaper editor named John O’Sullivan in the New York Demonic Reviews in 1845 to describe what he felt. Manifest destiny is the belief that the United-States were destined to expand (stretch from coast to coast) across North America. The reason that this was influential in the frontier's development is that when plans were being made, instead of slowly expanding outwards, the country exploded out living a middle frontier that was neither as developed as California or the East.
