John Nash (1752-1835), English architect and town planner, was one of the principal architects of the Regency period.

John Nash was born in London in September 1752. He started his architectural career and experience in the office of Sir Robert Taylor. After couple of years working for Sir Robert Taylor he decided to established his own practice in London. During the period 1777-1783 Nash received less project which resulted that the practice went bankrupt in 1783. After the bankrupt of his practice he moved to Wales, where started again his practice with building country houses, minor public work and cottages. By 1791 he had built various buildings in Wales and had achieved appreciable success. In 1796 he decided te return to London where
