John Mckenna's Interest In Music: Personal Narrative By Eve White Brown

Decent Essays
John Mckenna spoke of how he became interested in music. Then mentioned being in a band and doing gigs. Then that leads to playing at the 2nd Clinton augral which ended up on TV which was watched by his mom who dissaprove of his music. Needless to say his mother is not like with him. That was a very cool story to hear. The closest I have come to that is my first paid camera running gig. Eve White-Brown ‘s story was about dealing with a problem with her voice. She said that she could have tried everything to fix her voice. Due to that, She went to Mass Rehab to get job help. There she decided to be a counseler like she had. I could relate to this story very well and it was inspiring because this lady didn’t let that keep her down.

Focusing on past mistakes or problems only helps to clarify and bring light to the “exceptions of the problem” and what is going right in our client’s life. I think that this memoir shows what true resiliency is and should continue to be shared in the social work profession to better enhance our own skills when working with…
