John Locke was a 17th century, English political theorist, he was born in Wrington, England. He may have not known that his work would have a large impact on the world and society. His work was used as the basis for the American Declaration of Independence. John Locke believed that nobody has any power naturally over someone else, and that political authority should be granted through consent.
