The Beatles started out as a vocal group called the Quarrymen. John Lennon formed this group when he was in high school. Each member of the Beatles joined this vocal group besides Ringo Starr. They soon became known as the Beatles in 1960. They were discovered by Brian Epstein in 1961. Brian Epstein became a their official manager. He secured a contract with EMI records. Two members of the Beatles left. The two people who left are Pete Best and Stuart Sutcliffe who was replaced by Ringo Starr in 1962. John Lennon made a private announcement to his group members that ehe will be leaving the group in September 1969. The group disbanded on April, 10, 1970. Lennon unfortunately died on December 8, 1980.
Paul McCartney was born on June 18, 1942. He was best known for a popular solo performer. He was a successful solo artist because he wrote and performed songs. He later married his first wife Linda Eastman in 1969. After the Beatles broke up, he went on to fulfill his solo career. McCartney released his first solo album in 1970. Paul McCartney is still living today.
