John Lennon

“If everyone demanded peace instead of a new television set, then there’d be peace.” John Lennon was one of the most profound and inspirational people in the world, even to this day. He was a leader for peace and was against war; he stood up for what he believed in and didn’t back down when people tried to attack his ways of thinking. He changed the world and people’s views, he got the attention of everyone and with it, he used it for good. John Lennon wasn’t just a singer in a British pop band, he was a hero of the past and present generations, and hopefully the future. John Lennon was a leader for world peace and was against war. He devoted his life to world peace, to start off with, during his marriage with his wife Yoko Ono, he spent 2 weeks in bed for peace. He wouldn’t get out of bed, this would cause major media to come and watch, and tell the world his stance. He wrote many songs about peace, he would spread his message through music. One example is “Give Peace a Chance” which it’s pretty obvious what it is about, and this was a very popular song. Also, he was a pro-peace public icon. He took a very active role in protesting the Vietnam war. You might not think that is much, but

To begin with, if the beatles would’ve stayed together, Lennon wouldn’t have been able to talk about world peace in his own sense, he wouldn’t of inspired so many people, he wouldn’t have had made as big of an impact on society as he did. Another reason was that the band was already growing apart, there began to be more conflict with the band, they couldn’t agree on anything, as they wanted to part. Also, money became an issue. They got into fights about it and it was time for the group to break. No one knows the real reasons The Beatles broke up except for the members of the band. John Lennon didn’t break them up, they were already on their way down that
