This is the response I know you have expecting concerning the religious accommodation I have requested.
To be completely sincere, I knew that it would be denied as soon as I found out John Landeros was involved. I even commented about it while we were in your office. Unfortunately, Mr. Landeros is not professional enough to let past occurrences go and he allows them to influence his decision making. I know I am replaceable, just as every Lowe’s employee is, but I was hoping I could remain with the company I have enjoyed working for while living the standards of my faith. The decision I received from Mr. Landeros has placed me at a crossroads. Do I continue my employment with Lowe’s, or do I follow my faith to its fullest? I regret the years I allowed myself to work on the Sabbath day and I am no longer willing to sacrifice that part of my faith. The management team has my utmost respect and I am grateful for their leadership. Seth is a great leader who is fair and consistent and the assistant managers are understanding and easy to work with. Unfortunately, I am unable to give a complete 2 weeks notice, nonetheless, I am able to finish out this week. My last day with Lowe’s will by Friday the 10th of March, 2017. Thank you for the opportunity to work here once again. I hoped I would be able to work with Lowe’s for the years to come, but I was forced into this decision when Mr. Landeros decided my working on Sunday was more important than my faith’s doctrine.
Also, I would like a copy of the religious accommodation and the response along with the emails concerning my request.
