Most Ohioans know who John Kasich is, or at least have heard of him. John R. Kasich is the 69th Governor of the State of Ohio. Currently, Kasich is in the running for President of the United States. John Kasich is 9th at this current moment in the Presidential Race. John Kasich is, as Governor and running as President, a Republican. His political views are mainly Conservative Republican. He has been the Governor of Ohio since 2011. While in office, Kasich has passed over $5 billion in tax cuts. He has created over 180,000 jobs on OhioMeansJobs.com. Kasich has also created 330,700 private-sector jobs. Kasich was born on May 13, 1952 in McKees, Pennsylvania. He attended The Ohio State University and majored in Political Science. As a freshman at OSU, Kasich sent a letter to President Nixon. …show more content…
This includes airport security. Airport security seems like it is not necessary but it is. If a person were to attempt bring a gun on board the plane, the security prevents this. This is part of the Patriot Act and why Kasich agrees with it.
Kasich is concerned with the security of our nation. Since he has served in the Armed Forces Committee, Kasich has developed a passion for the protection of the United States. Although, Kasich agrees with Rand Paul. The Patriot Act should be seen out of the government. It should exist no more and a better and cleaner act should take its place.
Some people believe that the Patriot Act is unpatriotic as a whole. They believe that terrorists are beating the U.S. as a society because that the U.S. has limited our civil liberties in order to protect the nation. Kasich is one of those people. If the U.S. limits the civil rights that its citizens have over security, the country won’t have either of the two.
The Patriot Act must go well with the civil liberties that the nation provides to its citizens in order for the country to operate
