John Green is best known for his remarkable work on The Fault in our Stars and Paper Towns, which have been turned into great movies. John Green grew up with a passion of learning that then turned to a love for writing, he is a New York Times best selling author, and continues to inspire and give back to others. John Green grew up in Orlando FL., with both parents and his brother Hank. John was born August 24, 1977. John loved writing as a kid and hated math, like most kids. He went to Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio. He double-majored in Religion and English. His mother, Sydney Green, worked in lower income cities and helped make improvements to the cities environments. His father, Mike Green, worked as the state director of the Nature Conservancy. As a young adult John wanted to be an Episcopal Priest, but decided to start writing instead. John Green is an amazing author of many young adult books and has two youtube channels, the Vlogbrothers and Crash Course. John has a wife, Sarah Green, a son, Henry that …show more content…
“The videos spawned a community of people called nerdfighters who fight for intellectualism and to decrease the overall worldwide level of suck.” In their mission to decrease suck they had donated $3,148,825 as of January of 2014. May of 2010 the nerdfighters planted lots of trees for Hank’s 30th birthday. Green has also contributed a lot to young adult books. We can learn a lot from John Green and his weird but fascinating ways at viewing the world. John loved writing at an early age, he is an amazing author, and continues to help people who need it. John is an awesome, generous man, he interested me because I have loved all of the books I have read that he has written, and he is important because he has pretty much changed the Y/A
