In Life we all experience detached periods or moments of separation from others, feeling alone, different, and inadequate but these times can also bring out the best in us, we develop skills, discover interests, mature in who we are. “Brave New World” by Aldous Huxley is a book about a controlled futuristic society where people are placed in caste systems, conditioned to do a single job and always remain happy, however, we are introduced to a few people who may be viewed as eccentric in this eutopia.

John being born in the reservation allows him to think differently than the others who have been somewhat brainwashed in this community. John is like a moral sponge from both the reservation and shakespeare . He doesn’t allow himself to take part in some activities of this society such as having sex with just anyone."It's like that in Shakespeare too. 'If thou cost break her virgin knot before all sanctimonious ceremonies may with full and holy rite'" (Huxley, p63), also when we see this when Lenina gets naked and tries to have sex with time “ The savage pushed her away with such force that she staggered and fell. “Go ,” he shouted, standing over her menacingly, “get out of my sight or i'll kill you” He clenched his fists.”(Huxley, p194).
John has an identity and a family relationship unlike any other character. He plays a big role in the novel In bringing to question “ Is it better to have freedom or to be carefree” which is the main point across to the readers but as for the people in the book in the end they blow this off and see John as a source of entertainment. “ The ape had spoken; there was a burst of laughter and hand clapping. “Good old Savage! Hurrah, Hurrah!”(Huxley, p255). Isolation creates times of greatness and times where you’ve reached bottom but both being unforgettable moments in your history. John is a perfect example of that from being alone and gaining skills
