Thin-slicing is the term Gladwell utilizes to describe when you make snap decisions and to come to conclusions in a very small amount of time. Decisions made extremely quickly can be just as good as decisions made cautiously and deliberately, and our unconscious influences our intuition . Gladwell argues that “ there can be as much value in the blink of an eye as in moths of rational analysis.” One has better judgment when exposed to little information, and our decisions made quickly can be just as powerful and rational than deliberate, conscious decisions.
