For this forum, I researched John Foppe. In order to overcome his disabilities, John decided to not let it control his life. He learned how to operate using just his feet by simply not giving up on himself. He was able to drive a car, pump his own gas, eat and cook food, and perform many more activities that seemed impossible for someone with no arms to achieve. He used his motivation to push forward and motivate others to believe in themselves and what they are capable of doing. Very often in the videos I watched of John, he stated “If I can do it, then so can you”, which became a theme for him as a motivational speaker.
