The history of the United States is full of events. These events have had a different impact on the nation. Some events have included war while others have been more political. Politics can include the leaders of the nation which means the presidents, congress, and senate. The presidents of the United States have each impacted the history of the nation. The president with the greatest impact on the nation is debatable. However, some people would choose the presidency of John F. Kennedy. His reign and assassination were turning points in the history of the United States and had an impact on the people.

In his reign as president he encouraged people and tried to make a positive impact. In his death he left a legacy of a president who was lost too soon and could have accomplished more if given the time to do so. Some people can still remember where they were when they heard the news of his death (John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, 2017). He was not immune to the problems with presidency but he was focused on making a change for the nation (John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, 2017). His presidency was a turning point because what he accomplished is remembered today. It was a turning point because it inspired change. His assassination was a turning point because the nation learned from his death. The nation learned that more security for the leader of the nation was a necessity.
