John F Kennedy Research Paper

John F. Kennedy on May 29, 1917 he was born to Joseph P. Kennedy and Rose Fitzgerald. Joseph was a wealthy Irish-American man. John was the second of nine children. When he was two-and-a-half he had scarlet fever. He had to be separated from his Mom and baby sister. His nanny told him stories about leprechauns and fairies. He did not get better so his parents rushed him to a boston hospital. He was there for weeks fighting for every breath. He did get better, but he was weak and sick a lot. His brother Joe dared him to compete in a bicycle race. In this race they would peddle at one another and the first one to swerve loses, But neither of them swerved they crashed into one another and John had to go to the hospital because of the fall.

He quickly gained followers and later on became President. In January John swore his oath into office. Some of John’s famous words were “And so, my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country. John surrounded himself with the smartest and brightest people. His wife was smart, charming, and beautiful-a patron of arts. John would get down on his hands and knees and play with his children. The two children loved to hide under their Dad’s desk and take candy from the dish on the secretary’s desk. Once John’s daughter Caroline walked into a press conference wearing her Mom’s high heels.

I liked this book because it was fun to read and gave different sections of his life. I think you will like this book if you are interested in Presidents and the history of people. This book was very informative about the life of John F.
