Leader Essay I chose John F Kennedy because he cared about other people and tried to save them. And he stopped the Cuban missile crisis against Fidel Castro. And he wanted to give equal rights to everyone.
First, he graduated from Harvard in 1940 and went into the navy the same year. And when he was in the war his PT boat was rammed and sunk by Japanese destroyer and Kennedy was injured but still was able to lead the survivors through the perilous waters to safety. When he came back from war he became a democratic congressman from Boston then went to the senate. Then in 1955 he wrote profiles in courage, which won the Pulitzer Prize.

Then, in 1956 Kennedy almost got the democratic nomination
