John F. Kennedy was born May 12, 1917. He was born in Brookline, MA. Kennedy went to college at Harvard University.His nickname was “Jack” which he did not like being called. After college he went to the navy and served on a pt boat during WW2. John F. Kennedy ran for president in 1960 against Richard M. Nixon the vice president of the U.S. during this time who was running for president. John was the democratic candidate in the 1960 election and Nixon was the republican candidate.
