L. John E. Douglas is a former FBI special agent and unit chief in the United State’s FBI . He was the first criminal profiler and he has written record-breaking books on criminal psychology. Thx this man, he has given me a future purpose and goal in life to achieve and that is to become a federal agent. To do this I need to study criminology and criminal psychology. He taught me criminologists have a significant job in the criminal justice system. Criminologists like him conduct research while at the same time teaching and working with many different law enforcement agencies. Criminology gives some career alternatives. Once I put myself in a starting-level position in a government office or law enforcement agency, I can then rank up to management or administrative positions. I also take an educational focus by researching and getting an advanced degree so I could teach at a college or university. I also have the choice to work in the juvenile justice system or in victim rehabilitation. Criminology is a logically satisfying field that allows people with inquisitive brains to survive. Much of the work done by criminologists has to do with researching and challenging your skepticism. There are not many clear-cut answers on which way is the best way to get rid of crimes done by certain people and how to eliminate social injustices from the world. In conclusion, as a criminologist, I get to make my own theories, research them, and try to support my theory through tutoring, publications, and communications with law enforcement and groups of the community that try to reduce criminal
